Hungarian Goulash Holiday

 

On 8-9 September 2012, a delegation of the IPARegionRadomvisited a town of Solnok in Hungary, accepting an invitation of colleagues fromthe localIPARegionandPolonia (Poles living abroad) to participate in the annualcelebration of"Goulash Holiday".

Hungariancolleaguesgaveus a verywarm welcomewith a lot oftourist attractions andsocial-cultural attractions. The finale of the event is cooking goulash by the national teams’ representatives according to national recipes, as well as other national dishes.This year, 215 teams from several countries entered a competition. Prepared by us pea-soup tasted all and took third place honoured with a cup and diploma. Our success brought the great joy for Solnok’s Polonia as they claimed that the Polish team after 14 years got again a scoring position. We accepted the invitation to next year's celebration of the "Goulash Holiday " and at the same time a challenge to take a higher place on the podium.
