7th International IPA OFF ROAD Car Rally
On 19-21 October 2012, in the surroundings of Lukow (Lubelskie Province) the 7th International IPA OFF ROAD 2012 Car Rally, organized by the IPA Mazovian Provincial Group took place.
Base for the rally was the "Zima Woda” (Cold Water) Inn in Lukow. There were 58 crews - more than 120 people. Participants were divided into groups depending on vehicles types and experience of their owners.
The division was as follows:
- tourist class,
- extreme class with manual hoists,
- extreme class with electric hoists,
- extreme class mechanical,
- quad bikes.
Four crews representing the IPA Mazovian Provincial Group took part in the tourist class: Piotr Stasiło's crew from Radom, Tomasz Sieradzki's crew from Plock, Marek Sienkiewicz's crew from Siedlce, and Wiesław Bałdyga's one from Warsaw.
The competition on the route was very fierce. Special sections were full of mud, water crossings, difficult uphill entrances. Participants were required to appear at check points to get the card stamped, which confirmed the completion of every trial. It was not easy. Words can not describe what happened. Photos and videos can be viewed at a website www.polskioffroad.com (see reference: VII Międzynarodowy Rajd ...IPA OFF ROAD 2012). On Saturday evening, after the first day of competitions, participants were feasting in the open air. It did not last long, because on Sunday, the rivalry continued. On Sunday morning start, and about 3.00 pm the exit from routes, the summary and completing of the rally. After long counting up results in the tourist class a crew of Tomasz Nowak and Wojciech Bartoszewski captured the top one spot. A crew of Tomek Sieradzki and Jarosław Reszka took fourth place. The IPA competition crews: first place Tomasz Sieradzki and Jarosław Reszka, the second place team of Piotr Stasiło and Krzysztof Kapturski, the third place team Marek Sienkiewicz and Łukasz Sienkiewicz. IPA crew received beautiful commemorative cups and diplomas. The fourth, Wieslaw Baldyga IPA crew, was not classified because they had to quit the rally earlier on Saturday.
In extreme manual class the winners were Piotr Tomanek & Darek Kisiel crew. In extreme electric Krzysztof Piętka & Mariusz Piętka. In extreme mechanical Piotr Zdziebkowski & Mariusz Mielnicki. The winner in quad bikes class was Mateusz Pietruczuk. All participants were very satisfied with the course of the rally, with well prepared trails and maps. This was due to the main command of Mr. Wojtek Bednarczyk. As usual professionalism – even with light trouble - was on top.
We thank the whole team of logistics for the hard work, and till the next rally next year!
During the rally, a meeting of the Board of the Mazovian Provincial Group took place. At the meeting it was decided to hold the eighth edition of the rally next year.
So, see you there!
